Valve Lifter Installation

  1. Dip the valve lifters in prelube GM P/N 12345501, (Canadian 992704) or the equivalent.
  2. Install the valve lifters.
  3. Install the valve lifter guides.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the valve lifter guide bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the valve lifter guide bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
