Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear quarter window. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER .
  2. Fully open the sliding rear door.
  3. Use a heat gun in order to heat the sliding door auxiliary weatherstrip. Keep the heat gun 150 mm (6 in) from the surface. Use a circular motion while applying heat for about 30 seconds.
  4. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to peel the sliding door auxiliary weatherstrip from the panel surface. DO NOT damage the paint.
  5. Use oil-free naphtha or alcohol in order to clean the body panel.
