Removal Procedure

  1. Use a heat gun in order to heat the front door auxiliary weatherstrip.
    1. 1.1. Hold the heat gun approximately 152 mm (6 in) from the surface.
    2. 1.2. Apply the heat using a circular motion for approximately 30 seconds.
  2. Use a plastic flat-bladed tool in order to peel the front door auxiliary weatherstrip from the panel surface.
  3. DO NOT damage the paint during removal of the auxiliary weatherstrip.
  4. Use oil-free naphtha in order to clean the body panel.
