Removal Procedure

CAUTION:
When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.
- Carefully push the outside rearview mirror face on the inner edge, near the front door window glass, to allow finger access.
- Grasp the mirror face firmly and pull it from the mirror body.
- Disconnect the heated mirror face electrical connector if equipped.
- Disconnect the rearview mirror turn signal indicator electrical connector if equipped.
- Remove the 2 jackscrews from back of the mirror case
- Bend the 2 jackscrews over.
- Press down on the side of the jackscrew popping the screw from the mirror glass case.
- Save the jackscrews for reinstallation to the mirror motor.
