Sliding Door Delayed Locking

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The sliding door delayed locking function is a Vehicle Personalization feature. After the BCM has detected that the sliding door is closed, the BCM will lock the doors after a 3 second delay. The sliding door delayed locking function will be overridden if the BCM receives a door Unlock input, a last door closed locking initiation, or if the BCM senses that the sliding door is open.
