Removal & Installation (8.1L)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air intake duct. Disconnect accelerator and cruise control cables. Disconnect vacuum hose from throttle body. Disconnect TP sensor harness connectors from throttle body.
  2. Remove throttle body retaining nuts. Remove throttle body assembly from intake manifold. Remove flange gasket and discard.
  3. Clean gasket surface on intake manifold and throttle body. Install NEW flange gasket. Install throttle body assembly. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING  under COOLING SYSTEM.
