Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the right front wheel drive shaft. Refer to WHEEL DRIVE SHAFT REPLACEMENT -- FRONT .

  4. Using the J 2619-01  with the J 29794  and the J 23129 remove the axle shaft oil seal (1) from the transfer case.
