Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING & JACKING VEHICLE .
  2. If the vehicle is equipped with all wheel drive, remove the right side engine splash shield in order to access the heat shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - ENGINE .

  3. Remove the steering gear heat shield bolts.

  4. Remove the steering gear heat shield.
