Removal & Installation (2.2L - VIN F)

The Knock Sensor (KS) is located in engine block. See Fig 1. Turn the ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove starter. Disconnect KS electrical connector. Remove KS retaining bolt. Remove KS. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten KS to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
