Removal Procedure

- Remove the rear brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Rear in Disc Brakes.
- Rotate the park brake adjuster nut until the bolt is in the closed position.
- Remove the park brake shoe retaining spring.
- Remove the park brake shoe assembly by grasping the shoe and spreading slightly while pulling the shoe from the actuator assembly.
- Remove the two actuator mounting bolts.
- Remove the actuator assembly from the dust shield.
