Removal Procedure

  1. Position the top with the #1 bow up.
  2. Remove the seal compression panel. Refer to Folding Top Seal Compression Panel Replacement .
  3. Using a grease pencil mark the location of the top material where it wraps over the #1 bow to aid in installation.

  5. Using a pair of needle nose pliers remove the top cover staples from the #1 bow.

  7. Remove the headliner staples from the #1 bow.
  8. CAUTION: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  9. Drill out the stay pad rivets from the #1 bow.

  11. Remove the headliner screws from the #1 bow.

  13. Remove the headliner push-on retainers from the #1 bow.

  15. Remove the tension cables screws from the #1 bow.
  16. Using a grease pencil mark the location of the #1 bow to the front side rails.

  18. Remove the #1 bow nuts from the front side rails.
  19. Remove the #1 bow.
