Removal (3.1L & 3.4L)

Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the EGR valve electrical connector. See Figure. Remove the bolt retaining the pipe assembly from the EGR valve and carefully pull the pipe back. Remove the EGR valve retaining bolts. Remove the EGR valve assembly. Remove the gasket. Clean the EGR valve mating surface.
