Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

    IMPORTANT: A minimum of 2 mm (0.08 in) of sealing foam must extend beyond the ends of the retainer to prevent water leaks.
  1. Install foam sealing tape to a reusable retainer or peel protective cover from the foam tape on a new retainer.
  2. Position the retainer to the roof.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
    IMPORTANT: Stripped, broken, or improperly seated screws must be replaced or repaired to prevent water leaks.
  4. Install the screws attaching the retainer.

    Tighten:  Tighten the roof weatherstrip retainer screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  6. Install the weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Roof Lift Off Panel Rear .

  8. Install the roof panel.
