Powertrain Control Module: Installation

  1. Connect the PCM electrical connectors to the PCM. Install the PCM into the air cleaner housing. Install the PCM cover to the air cleaner housing and tighten the bolts. Install the left front strut brace. Install the 3 strut brace retaining bolts. Install the coolant reservoir. Be sure to check coolant system for proper level.
  2. If a new PCM is being installed, program the PCM. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE under PROGRAMMING in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - 3.4L MONTANA, SILHOUETTE & VENTURE article.
