Installation Procedure

  1. Install the underhood electrical center to the engine compartment.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the electrical connectors to the underhood electrical center.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the underhood accessory wiring junction block electrical harness bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  3. Install the underhood electrical center lower cover.
  4. Install the positive battery cable lead (2) to the stud on the underhood electrical center.

  5. Install the positive battery cable retaining nut (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the positive battery cable nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
  7. Install the right sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FENDER UPPER DIAGONAL - RIGHT ..
  8. Position the underhood electrical center to the right sheet metal diagonal brace and rotate into position.

  9. Install the bolt to the electrical center at the upper tie bar.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the underhood electrical center to upper tie bar bolt to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  10. Install the underhood electrical center cover.
  11. Close the hood.

  1. Install the electrical connectors into the fuse block. Refer to Connector Repairs .
  2. Align the rear side of the fuse block with the instrument panel.
  3. Push the fuse block into the opening until secure.
  4. Install the IP end cover.
  5. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to BATTERY BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
