Conditions For Running DTC
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- DTCs P0101, P0102, P0103, P0106, P0107, P0108, P0112, P0113, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0121, P0122, P0123, P0201-P0208, P0300, P0335, P0336, P0385, P0386, P0405, P0449, P0502, P0503, P0506, or P0507 are not set.
- System voltage is 11-18 volts.
- A/C status does not change.
- Transaxle range does not change.
- Throttle position angle is less than 1.19 percent, deceleration.
- Deceleration fuel cut-off is steady for 0.3 second.
- The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is between 176-230°F (80-110°C).
- Engine speed is 700-1200 RPM.
- The Idle Air Control (IAC) position is consistently more than 8 counts.
- The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) is steady between 11-50 kPa.
- Vehicle speed is more than 22.9 MPH during deceleration.
- Barometric Pressure is more than 70 kPa.
- Vehicle needs to be driven at more than 50 MPH, then allowed to decelerate. When vehicle is decelerating while meeting all of the criteria listed, PCM will enable test to run. During the test, desired EGR parameter and EGR position sensor on scan tool will change from zero to a calibrated valve more than zero.
