Diagnostic Aids
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
A skewed MAP sensor signal may cause PCM to incorrectly determine that the TP sensor is out of range. Check for an unusually low or high MAP sensor reading. If DTC is determined to be intermittent or TP sensor system is still suspect, go to DTC P1121: THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT HIGH VOLTAGE and/or INTERMITTENT CONDITIONS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
