Removal Procedure

NOTE: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage
NOTE: When the hood is removed from the vehicle, do not stand the hood on the rear corners. Damage to the paint and sheet metal may occur
  1. Install the protective coverings over the fenders in order to prevent damage to the paint when removing or installing the hood.
  2. Open the support the hood.
  3. make the location of the hood hinge to the hood (1,2) for alignment when re-installing the hood.
  4. Remove the hood bolts from each side of the hood at the hinge.

  5. Remove the hood from the hood hinges with an assistant.
