Removal Procedure

CAUTION: When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to COOLANT RECOVERY RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove the bolt from the hood prop rod base.
  4. remove the hood prop rod from the engine compartment.
