Installation Procedure

  1. Position the hood prop rod to the body.

    Ensure that the anti-rotation tab is located into the upper hole.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the bolt to the hood prop rod base.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to COOLANT RECOVERY RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT .
  4. Install the stow hood prop rod to the hold down retainer.
  5. Close the hood.
