Removal Procedure

- Open the support the hood.NOTE: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners to panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage
- Place the protective coverings over the adjacent body panels.
- Raise and support vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
- Remove the front tires and wheels. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the cruise control module, if equipped, from the left fender. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the front turn signal/side marker lamp. Refer to HAZARD AND TURN SIGNAL FLASHER REPLACEMENT (PONTIAC) .
- Remove the fender splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Wheelhouse for Oldsmobile only.
- Remove the front fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement .
- Remove the fender to front bumper fascia bolts. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (PONTIAC) or FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (CHEVROLET) or FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (OLDSMOBILE) .
- Remove the fender to fascia bolt at the lower door hinge pillar.
- Remove the fender bolts from the rear edge of the fender at the door hinge pillar.
- Remove the fender bolts from the upper edge of the fender.
- Remove the fender form the vehicle.
