Installation Procedure

  1. Align the fender to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the fender bolts to the upper edge of the fender.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  3. Install the from the rear edge of the fender at the door hinge pillar.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  4. Install the fender to front bumper fascia bolts at the lower door hinge pillar.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in)

  5. Install the fender to front bumper fascia bolts/screws. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (PONTIAC) or FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (CHEVROLET) or FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (OLDSMOBILE) .
  6. Install the front fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement .
  7. Install the fender splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Wheelhouse , for Oldsmobile only.
  8. Install the front turn signal/side marker lamp. Refer to HAZARD AND TURN SIGNAL FLASHER REPLACEMENT (P .
  9. Install the cruise control module, if equipped, from the left fender. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT .
  10. Install the front tires and wheels. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Remove the protective coverings from the adjacent body panels.
  13. Close the hood.
