Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Remove the front tires and wheels. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine .
  4. Remove the fender splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Wheelhouse  (for Oldsmobile only).
  5. Remove the fender wheel opening molding. Refer to MOLDING REPLACEMENT - FRONT WHEEL OPENING (for Pontiac only).
  6. Remove the front fender liner bolts.
  7. Remove the front fender liner from the inner fender and the front bumper fascia.
