Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the engine compartment.
  2. Align the rear hole of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the hole in the wheelhouse.
  3. Align the holes of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the holes in the upper tie bar.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the bolts to the front of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the upper tie bar.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the bolt to the rear hole in the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the wheelhouse.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 47 N.m (34 lb ft).

  6. Install the windshield wiper system module cover. Refer to WIPER MODULE COVER REPLACEMENT .
  7. Install the coolant recovery reservoir on the left front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to COOLANT RECOVERY RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT .
  8. Install the cruise control module on the left front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT .
  9. Close the hood.
