Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  2. Remove the bolts/screws from the hood release handle.
  3. Remove the hood release handle from the instrument panel.

  4. Use a small, flat-bladed tool in order to remove the hood release cable grommet from the brake pedal bracket plate.
  5. Remove the hood release cable from the hood latch.
  6. Route the hood release cable from the brake pedal bracket plate.
  7. Remove the hood release cable and hood release handle from the vehicle.
