Camshaft Installation

  1. Coat the camshaft with prelube GM P/N United States 12345501, GM P/N Canada 992704 or the equivalent.
  2. Install the camshaft.
  3. Install the camshaft thrust plate.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the camshaft thrust plate bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 15 N.m (11 Ib. ft).
