Shift Lever - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

CAUTION: Refer to SIR CAUTION .
  1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS - DISASSEMBLE - Off Vehicle .

  3. Remove the shift lever screw (3) from the shift lever assembly (4).
  4. Remove the shift lever assembly (4).
  5. Remove the shift lever seal (2).
