Shift Lever - Assemble - Off Vehicle

  1. Install the shift lever seal (2) onto the shift lever assembly (4).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the shift lever assembly (4) into the linear shift assembly and secure it with a shift lever screw (3).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screw to 20 N.m (27 lb ft).

  3. Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
  4. Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
