Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Use a screwdriver to carefully pry the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column jacket assembly.
