Removal & Installation (4.0L - Bank 2)

  1. Bank 2 is the cylinder head that is closest to front of engine compartment. Remove air cleaner assembly. Disconnect the vacuum lines from the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) shut off valve. See Fig 1. Loosen and lower the pinch clamp connecting the bank 2 intermediate pipe/hose to the bank 2 shut off valve. Disconnect the hose from the shut off valve.
  2. Remove the two nuts securing the bank 2 AIR shut off to the bracket. Remove the bank 2 AIR shut off valve from the bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten the AIR shut off valve nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
