Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the O-ring seal (11) to the vehicle speed sensor (10).
  2. Install the vehicle speed sensor to the extension case.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the vehicle speed sensor bolt (9).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  4. Install the vehicle speed sensor wiring harness connector.
  5. Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - ENGINE  in Body Front End.
  6. Install the right front tire and wheel. TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  in Tires and Wheels.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
