Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  The child seat tether attaches or anchors in two different ways. The tether strap attaches to the third row outboard lower seat belt anchor bracket or the third row seat rise depending on the seat configurations. Use the child seat tether strap only in the second row.

  1. Slide the rear seat belt sleeve to the upward position in order to expose the tether strap anchor.
  2. Remove the tether strap spring clip from the seat belt anchor plate.

  3. Remove the tether strap from underneath the head restraint if equipped.
  4. Remove the tether strap from the vehicle.
