Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the tether strap to the vehicle.
  2. Route the tether strap underneath the head restraint if equipped.
  3. Route the tether strap between the second row bucket seat cushion and the seat back.

  4. Install the anchor plate to the buckle seat frame.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the anchor plate bolt and the nut.

    Tighten

    Tighten the child seat tether strap anchor plate bolt and the nut to 10 N.m (89 in lb).

  6. Install the tether strap spring clip to the anchor plate. Verify that the spring clip end closes once the spring clip is attached to the anchor plate.
