Installation Procedure

  1. Align the hinge with the marks made on the vehicle body.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the hinge retaining nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the liftgate hinge stud nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER REPLACEMENT  in Interior Trim.
  4. Install the liftgate. Refer to LIFT GATE REPLACEMENT   .
