Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left rear inner fender liner. Refer to FUEL FILLER TUBE  . 
  2. Open the left sliding door.
  3. Release the tension on fuel filler door interlock and remove fuel door interlock cable from the fuel filler door interlock.
  4. Attach a piece of mechanics wire to the fuel filler door interlock cable end.

  5. Use a small flat-bladed tool to release the fuel filler door cable from the rear inner quarter panel.
  6. Disconnect the fuel filler door interlock cable from the fuel filler door.
  7. Use the mechanics wire to pull the fuel filler door interlock cable through the rear inner quarter panel openings.
  8. Remove the mechanics wire from the fuel filler door interlock cable leaving the mechanics wire routed through the rear quarter panel.
  9. Remove the fuel filler door interlock cable from the vehicle.
