Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the headliner to the roof through the rear of the vehicle.
  2. Align the locking tab at the front overhead console.
  3. Push the headliner rearwards in order to lock the headliner into place.
  4. Install the rear headliner push-in retainers.
  5. Install the roof Auxiliary air outlets, if equipped. Refer to AIR OUTLET DUCTS REPLACEMENT - AUXILIARY  in HVAC Systems - Manual.
  6. Install the liftgate weather-strip. Refer to BODY REAR END  in Body Rear End.
  7. Install the cargo lamp. Refer to LIGHTING SYSTEMS  in Lighting Systems.
  8. Install the rear fan/temperature controls. Refer to HVAC CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT - AUXILIARY  in HVAC Systems - Manual.
  9. Install the reading lamps. Refer to LIGHTING SYSTEMS  in Lighting Systems.
  10. Install the rear corner upper garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER UPPER   . 
  11. Install the body side rear upper garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE REAR UPPER   . 
  12. Install the upper pillar garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - UPPER PILLAR   . 
  13. Install the rear headliner trim finishing molding. Refer to HEADLINING TRIM FINISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT   . 
  14. Install the Dome Lamp. Refer to DOME LAMP REPLACEMENT (WITHOUT U42)  or page 8-351  or LIGHTING SYSTEMS  in Lighting Systems.
  15. Install the overhead console, if equipped. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - OVERHEAD (SINGLE)   on CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - OVERHEAD (DUAL)   or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - OVERHEAD (CF5)   . 
  16. Install the sunshades. Refer to SUNSHADE REPLACEMENT   . 
  17. Install the front door opening Weather-strips. Refer to DOOR SYSTEM, MIRROR SYSTEM & WINDOW SYSTEM  in Doors.
  18. Install the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - WINDSHIELD PILLAR   .
