Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: Refer to SIR CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  and to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  in Airbag.
  2. Disconnect the seat belt electrical connector (3) from the body wiring harness.
  3. Disconnect the power seat connector from the body wiring harness 6-way power seat only.
  4. Disconnect both seat and seat cushion heated seat element connectors from the harness.
  5. For the passenger seat only, remove the front under-seat storage tray. Refer to STORAGE TRAY REPLACEMENT - RIGHT FRONT SEAT   . 
  6. Remove the front seat nuts (2).
  7. Remove the front seat (1) from the vehicle.
