Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - BUCKET   . 
  2. Remove the map pocket net, if equipped. Refer to MAP POCKET NET REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT   . 
  3. Remove the cup holder, if equipped. Refer to CUPHOLDER REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT   . 
  4. Remove the finish covers. Refer to SEAT ADJUSTER TRACK COVER REPLACEMENT - FRONT   . 
  5. Remove the front seat buckle with pretensioner. Refer to SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER in Airbag.
  6. Remove the seat adjuster mechanism from the seat frame.

    Refer to the appropriate sections:

  7. Unsnap the recliner covers starting with the rear portion of the cover.
  8. Remove the recliner bolts.
  9. Separate the seat cushion from the seat back.
  10. Remove the J retainer (1) from the bottom of the seat cushion.

  11. Remove the seat cover retainer rings (hog rings) (2).
  12. Remove the heater element from the seat cushion.
  13. Remove the seat cushion cover (1).
