Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the heater element to the seat cushion.
  2. Install the seat cushion cover (1).
  3. Install the seat cover retainer rings (hog rings) (2).

  4. Install the J retainer (1) at the bottom of the seat cushion.
  5. Install the seat cushion to the seat back.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the front seat recliner bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).

  7. Snap the recliner covers over there recliner mechanism.
  8. Install the seat adjuster mechanism to the seat frame. Refer to the appropriate sections:
  9. Install the front seat buckle with Pretensioner. Refer to SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER in SIR.
  10. Install the finish covers. Refer to SEAT ADJUSTER TRACK COVER REPLACEMENT - FRONT   . 
  11. Install the cup holder, if equipped. Refer to CUPHOLDER REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT   . 
  12. Install the map pocket net, if equipped. Refer to MAP POCKET NET REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT   . 
  13. Install the front seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - BUCKET   .
