Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the rear seat back pad to the seat back frame.
  2. Install the rear seat back cover the foam pad.

  3. Secure the rear seat back cover to the foam pad using retainer rings (2) and the hook and loop retainers.

  4. Install the armrest. Refer to ARMREST REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT   .
  5. Install the rear seat back to the rear seat cushion.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the recliner bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the recliner bolts to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

  7. Install the rear seat back foam and cover over the recliner bolts.
  8. Install the rear seat back recliner cover. Refer to SEAT BACK RECLINER COVER REPLACEMENT - REAR   .

  9. Install the J retainer (1) at the bottom edge of the rear seat back cover.
  10. Install the rear seat back finish panel. Refer to SEAT BACK FILLER PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR   .
  11. Install the finish covers. Refer to SEAT TRIM REPLACEMENT - SIDE   .
  12. Install the head restraint. Refer to HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT   .
  13. Install the second row captain's chair. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR   .
