Removal Procedure

  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Remove the hood latch cable from the hood latch.

  3. Remove the hood latch cable retaining clips.
  4. Attach a length of mechanics wire to the hood latch cable prior to removal. This lead will assist in reinstallation of the new hood latch cable.
  5. Remove the hood release handle. Refer to HOOD LATCH RELEASE HANDLE REPLACEMENT   .

  6. Remove the hood latch cable and grommet rearward from the passenger compartment.

  7. Transfer the lead wire to the new hood latch cable.
