Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING in General Information.
  2. Remove the front tires and wheels. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - ENGINE .
  4. Remove the fender splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - WHEELHOUSE   (for Oldsmobile only)

  5. Remove the fender wheel opening molding. Refer to MOLDING REPLACEMENT - FRONT WHEEL OPENING  in Exterior Trim (for Pontiac only).
  6. Remove the front fender liner bolts.
  7. Remove the front fender liner from the inner fender and the front bumper fascia.
