Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Align the front fender liner to the inside of the fender.
  2. Position the front fender liner forward of the tabs on the engine splash shield.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Starting at the rear bottom and working forward, install the bolts through the holes in the front fender liner.

    Tighten  : Tighten the bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the bolts through the holes in the front fender bumper area fascia.

    Tighten  Tighten the bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the fender splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - WHEELHOUSE   (for Oldsmobile only).
  6. Install the fender wheel opening molding. Refer to MOLDING REPLACEMENT - FRONT WHEEL OPENING  in Exterior Trim (for Pontiac only).
  7. Install the engine splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - ENGINE  .
  8. Install the front tires and wheels. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  in Tires and Wheels.
  9. Lower the Vehicle.
