Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the engine compartment.
  2. Align the rear hole of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the hole in the wheelhouse.
  3. Align the holes of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the holes in the upper tie bar.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the bolts to the front of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the upper tie bar.

    Tighten  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the bolt to the rear hole in the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the wheelhouse.

    Tighten  Tighten the bolts to 47 N.m (34 lb ft).

  6. Reposition the electrical center to the right front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to UNDERHOOD ELECTRICAL CENTER OR JUNCTION BLOCK REPLACEMENT  in Wiring Systems.
  7. Install the windshield wiper system module cover. Refer to WIPER MODULE COVER REPLACEMENT  in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  8. Close the hood.
