Removal Procedure

  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Remove the windshield wiper system module cover. Refer to WIPER MODULE COVER REPLACEMENT  in Wipers Washer/Systems.
  3. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir on the left front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to COOLANT RECOVERY RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT  in Engine Cooling.
  4. Remove the cruise control module on the left front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT  in Cruise Control.
  5. Remove the bolt from the rear hole in the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the wheelhouse.
  6. Remove the bolts from the front of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the upper tie bar.
  7. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace from the engine compartment.
