Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fender splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - ENGINE  in Body Front End.
  2. Use the J 38778  in order to remove the push-in retainer at the rear of the rocker molding.

  3. Pull the rocker molding down at the lower edge in order to release from the lower retainer.

  4. Lift Up In Order To Release The Rocker Molding From The Upper Retainer.

  5. Remove the rocker molding from the rocker molding.

  6. Remove the nut from the rear rocker molding retainer.

  7. Remove the rear rocker molding retainer from the rocker panel.
  8. Use a small screw in order to fasten to the center of the remainder of the molding retainer plugs.
  9. Use small pliers in order to pull on the screw to pull out the plug in the molding retainers.
  10. Remove the molding retainers from the rocker panel.
