Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE in Battery
  2. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT  .
  3. Remove the body control module. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT in Body Control System.
  4. Remove the DRL module. Refer to DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (DRL) CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT in Lighting Systems.
  5. Remove the EBTCM module. Refer to ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM in Antilock Brake System.
  6. Remove the steering column. Refer to STEERING COLUMN REPLACEMENT in Steering Wheel and Column.
  7. Remove the A/C module. Refer to HVAC CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  8. Remove the IP air outlet ducts. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) AIR OUTLET DUCTS REPLACEMENT in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  9. Remove the center air outlet. Refer to AIR OUTLET REPLACEMENT - CENTER in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  10. Remove the defroster duct. Refer to AIR OUTLET DUCT REPLACEMENT - DEFROSTER in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  11. Remove the bolts/screws which secure the IP carrier to the body.
  12. Remove the IP carrier from the body.
