Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  Do not exchange digital radio receivers between vehicles. Exchanging digital receivers between vehicles will activate the digital radio theftlock. "XM theftlockU" will be displayed.

  1. Remove the I/P insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT  in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  2. Remove the receiver bracket nuts.
  3. Remove the receiver from the bracket.
  4. Disengage the electrical connector and the antenna connectors from the XM radio receiver.

  5. Remove the XM digital radio receiver from the vehicle.
