Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear wiper motor electrical connector.

  2. Position the rear wiper motor to the liftgate.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the rear wiper motor screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  in Body Rear End.
  5. Install the washer and seal onto the rear wiper motor drive shaft.
  6. Install the rear wiper motor drive shaft nut.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  7. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT - REAR   .
  8. Inspect rear wiper for proper operation.
