Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the cooling fan motor.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the screws to the cooling fan motor.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the cooling fan motor.
  4. Install the cooling fan to the shroud.

    Important:  Turn the cooling fan nut couterclockwise to tighten.

  5. Install the cooling fan nut.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  6. Install the cooling fan and shroud assembly. Refer to COOLING FAN REPLACEMENT - ELECTRIC   .
